An SD Card is a specially designed flash memory card, which is small in size, but can provide high amount of data storage capacity. They are widely used in small hand held devices such as cameras and mobile phones. SD card data loss is a common occurrence, and there are definitive ways to get around this problem.

There are some precautions that you should take, to avoid data loss in memory cards,

I recommend that you make a backup copy of important data, since some or all data recorded on the card may get corrupted or erased by electrical noise, static electricity or card malfunctions.

Do not allow dirt, water or foreign objects to come into contact with the terminals on the back of the card. Do not touch the terminals with your hands or metal objects.

Please note that SD cards formatted or edited by using other manufacturers’ cameras, a computer or application programs, may not operate correctly in your camera.
We recommend that you use the SD cards that have been formatted in your camera.
The card supplied with your camera may be used without further formatting.

When a SD card is formatted, all the data present on the card is deleted. But there is nothing to worry, as they are not permanently erased from the card. Since they are just marked for deletion, you can undelete pictures from SD card using a data recovery software.

REMO Recover (Windows) Media Edition software lets you undelete images from SD card using the easy-to-use interface, and the variety of features that the software provides. The software also lets you preview the recovered files, before you actually save them.

Being one of the most convenient portable storage devices that allow you to download all types of files from one computer and load them into another USB drives have become one of the major sources of data transferring. It can be easily plugged into any system that has a USB port. Featuring average storage capacity of 2 GB and fast access to the data stored USB drives are most widely used and are always prone to the risk of data loss. Your data can be lost due to accidental deletion, files damaged to lost, hard disk formatted, Virus attack, and so on.

Most people that lose USB data is by accidentally deleting a file. If you have permanently deleted an item using Shift+Delete and bypassed the Recycle Bin and regret now? Do not fret; REMO Recover (Windows) Basic Edition Undelete – Deleted File Recovery Software is here to help you recover files from USB drive. Connect the USB drive to a healthy computer and follow the tutorial below to recover files.

Step-by-step guide to retrieve deleted file(s) from USB drive:

Step 1: Download and install REMO Recover (Windows) Basic Edition Undelete Software. Run the application and select the drive to search deleted file and click “Next” (See Figure a).
Caution: Note: Never install REMO Undelete on the drive from which you want to recover data, also never save any data on the same drive from which you are recovering data.

Install the software to any another partition or computer, which is healthy system and has the best of hardware components, then attach the drive you want to recover as a slave to this machine and then proceed ahead recovering the data.

Figure a: Select the drive for search

Step 2: When the ‘Next’ button is pressed the scan is commenced and the next wizard screen will display a list of all the found files and folders in a tree format under a Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Figure b: Tree Format of the found files and folders

Step 3: To recover the file, select the file/folder you wish to recover or simply select the root folder to select all the found files and click Save. A window will appear asking to select destination location to restore recovered data (See Figure c).

Figure c: Saving the recovered data

If you choose to save data to local drive and specify the file types you wish to ignore during restoration process, check if you want the data to be saved in compressed form and click OK. Now the program starts saving the data to selected destination location of your choice.

After the saving is complete a message will popup intimating the same. All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX “. You can now access your recovered data as before.

Caution: Do not save the recovered file to the USB drive from where you are recovering data, for it may result in overwriting of data, and would result in permanent data loss.

If you are worriedly looking for a way to recover your deleted files, then you have landed on the right place. Read on to know how to recover files deleted from Recycle Bin.

A common misconception is that once you delete a file from the Recycle Bin it has been erased forever, and it is no longer present on the drive. Fortunately when you empty the Recycle Bin, Windows does not actually delete the file instead the space that the file occupied has been freed up and is listed as reuse space. If the system needs the space that this file occupies then the file may be overwritten. If this does not take place then the file in question can still be recovered with REMO Undelete Software at any time.

REMO Undelete Software is the most trusted, proven to work and won’t harm your computer. It recovers the deleted files in just 3 simple steps, Scan – Select File – Recover. This powerful program scours your hard drive for deleted files from your recycle bin (or anywhere else for that matter) and then retrieve them back to life.

How to recover files deleted from Recycle Bin with REMO Undelete

Step 1: Download and install REMO Undelete. Run the application and select the drive to search and click Next (See Figure a).

Caution: Never install REMO Undelete on the drive from which you want to recover data, also never save any data on the same drive from which you are recovering data.

Install the software to any another partition or computer, which is healthy system and has the best of hardware components, then attach the drive you want to recover as a slave to this machine and then proceed ahead recovering the data.

Figure a: Select the drive for search

If the drive you are looking for is not listed in the list of drives, Refresh Drives button will be helpful to detect the most recently attached drive and would list it in the list of physical drives.

Step 2: When the ‘Next’ button is pressed the scan is commenced and the next wizard screen will display a lists of all the found files and folders in a tree format under a Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Figure b: Tree Format of the found files and folders

Step 3: To recover files, select the file/folder you wish to recover or simply select the root folder to select all the found files and click Save.

IMPORTANT Note: Saving files to the partition or drive from where you are recovering data, for it may result in overwriting of data, and would result in permanent data loss.

So, if you have deleted files from Recycle Bin it is not hard to recover those deleted files with REMO Undelete.

Do you want to recover important files that are accidentally / intentionally deleted by yourself? Choose REMO Undelete, the best deleted file recovery software, you will easily recover them all.

If you have deleted a file using the DEL key, then recovering it is pretty easy, simply go to the Recycle Bin right click on the file you want to recover and click “restore”. The file is now back to its previous position. If you have deleted a file using the SHIFT+DEL keys then recovering it will involve an Undelete software. With the right application and very little technical know-how, you can recover any file that has been deleted from recycle bin or from the system. As a precautionary measure after you accidentally delete a file, don’t save anything more to the hard drive. Any new files saved to the hard drive will copy over the erased data.

REMO Undelete – Deleted File Recovery Software is the world’s fastest and most reliable undelete software. Its cutting edge disk scanning technology will efficiently locate and restore deleted files that other “Undelete” software is not even capable of finding. REMO Undelete can recover files from both FAT and NTFS Windows file systems.

Once the application is installed, you can begin recovering your deleted files. Run the program and follow the instructions stated below:

Step 1: Download REMO Undelete and launch the software. When you run the application, a wizard screen will open and present you a list of drives, simply select the drive where the deleted file was originally located and click the “Next” button.

NOTE: Save REMO Undelete, to another hard disk, USB flash drive, external drive, etc, to prevent overwriting the deleted data.

Figure 1: Select Drive

Step 2: After you click the Next button the application starts scanning the selected drive for deleted files and folders. After the scan is complete it will display a list of all the found files and folders in a tree format under a Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Figure b: Found Files and Folders

Step 3: After you find the deleted file you wish to recover simply select the file and click “Save”. You can also select the root folder to select all the found files. A window now popup asking to select destination location to restore recovered files (See Figure c).

Figure c: Select Destination Location

You can save the recovered deleted files to local drive, or burn to CD or DVD disk. By default it is set to save the data to local drive.

Save data to local drive: Select a logical drive in your local disk and specify the file type you wish to ignore (file filter) while recovery. This is to filter the file types which you do not want to recover. You can save data in compressed form by checking “Compress data” box and click OK.

Save data to CD/DVD : Select a burning device on which you want to burn the data. Select drive to be used for temporary cache. This space will be used as a temporary cache when burning large data. As you click OK button, the program starts burning data to selected CD / DVD. Once all data is saved, a pop up message is displayed intimating the same. The data will be saved in a new folder as “UndeleteX” in the selected destination location and you can now access the recovered data as before.

Tips: Never copy / save anything to the drive from which data is being recovered. This may cause overwriting of recovering data and would result in permanent data loss.

You may come across a situation where in you have intentionally / accidentally deleted an important file from your computer and realize later that it was an important one. This action of deleting an important file drives us to a series of questions like, is the file gone forever? Is there any way to get it back? Well, don’t panic! There’s a very good chance that your file is still on your hard drive and you just need to know how to find and recover it. Here is the solution for how to recover deleted files.

Irrespective of the Windows operating system you use, files purposely or mistakenly deleted from Windows are recoverable using a powerful program from REMO Software. This program is REMO Undelete. The software will recover deleted data from your locally connected disks in just few simple steps.

Follow the below steps to recover files:

Step 1: Launch REMO Undelete from the Programs list in the Start menu or by double clicking the application shortcut from the desktop. The program Main Window will appear as below (See Figure a).

Figure a: Program Main Window

Step 2: In the main window the program will display all the logical drives. Select the drive containing the deleted data you wish to recover and click (see Figure b).

NOTE: If your drive is not listed in the list of drives, then click . This will detect the most recently attached drive and would list it in the list of physical drives.

Figure b: Select the drive to recover deleted files

The program will now scan the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under a Root folder as shown in Figure c.

Figure c: Tree Format of the found files and folders

Step 3: Once you have found the files you had deleted the next step is to restore them to a safe location. To recover the file, select the file/folder you wish to recover or simply select the root folder to select all the found files and click .

NOTE: You can use .to locate the file you wish to restore and .option, which can be used after Find option, to locate already found file in other locations, present if any, in the big tree structure formed.

Step 4: After you click the Save button, a window will popup to select destination location to restore recovered data (See Figure d).

Figure d: Select Destination Location

REMO Undelete includes two options to save the recovered data.

Save data to local drive

Burn data to CD/DVD
