A file is a collection of well defined data which is stored on your computer hard drive. Files can be used to store Microsoft word document, operating system information, application software, video files, photos etc. However in some situations the files from your computer may get deleted due to software problems. If you are a regular computer user, then you will know the importance of file and you want to recover deleted or lost files. You cannot recover deleted files from your computer yourself without using third party utility software such as file recovery software.

By using the third party utility software you can recover files after system restore. The files from your computer are deleted or lost due to so many reasons such as virus attack, accidental deletion, accidentally formatting the partitions, reinstalling operating system, etc. The virus can corrupt files partly or sometimes deleted files completely from your computer. Viruses can occur due to browsing of some third party websites and due to downloading of contents from unauthorized sites. The files from computer hard drive are also deleted due to human mistakes such as accidental deletion of files by using “Shift + Delete” key combination and emptying the Recycle Bin, etc. You can recover files after format by using file recovery software. Accidental formatting of hard drive also results in data loss. If you have selected format option, then all data from your computer hard drive disappears within few seconds. The files from your computer are also lost due to defragmentation failure, re – partitioning of hard drive and unexpected shutdown of your system. All files from your computer may become inaccessible due to improper shutdown of your system. Anyway, if you lose files from your computer, the best solution is file recovery software.

Deleted file recovery software is one of the best data recovery software available in market. By using this software you can recover large number of files from any type of hard drive such as SATA, SCSI, IDE etc. This software recovers deleted files effectively, because it has strong built in scanning algorithm. To recover files, this software scans entire hard drive within few minutes, so that you can recover large number of files without consuming more time. You can also use this software to recover files from Recycle Bin and also recover files from SD card. Once you have recovered files on your computer, do not forget to take backup to avoid data loss once again.

To recover deleted files safely, some of the important tips are mentioned below:

Download and install the Remo file recovery software in a healthy computer to avoid again loss of recovered data.

Connect hard drive to a computer from which you want to recover deleted files.

Finally store the recovered files in a healthy storage device such as CD, DVD, Pen drive, USB drive, Flash memory card, external hard drive etc.

You should follow the below given steps to recover file from formatted hard drive:

Step1: First download and install recovery software in your computer. Then run the software by double clicking on desktop icon and you will get one window as shown in below Fig A. Then select “Recover Files” option from the Window.

Step2: After selecting “Recover Files” option, one more Window will appear on your computer as shown in below Fig B. Now select “Recover Lost Files” option.

Step3: Now you need to select logical drives from which you want to recover deleted or lost files. After selecting logical drives, click on “Next” option.

Memory cards are extremely popular as external storage drives in the field of digital media devices. Since flash cards are compact in size and provide huge storage space, they are widely used in digital cameras to store the captured pictures. Popular flash drive manufacturers released different type of memory cards such as SD card, XD card, CF card, etc. In order to avoid the compatibility issues while using flash memory cards in different operating systems, all most all the flash memory cards use FAT file system.

Sometimes data stored in flash cards become inaccessible due to corruption of memory cards. Flash memory cards get corrupt due to various reasons like virus infection, file system error, application malfunctioning, improper plug and play procedure i.e. removing the card from the device when there is a read/ write process in progress and many others. In order to access the corrupted card it is mandatory to format but formatting erases all the data stored in the flash card which finally leads to loss of files.

Since most the times flash cards deal with photos and other media files, losing of favorite photos is really frustrating. With some precautionary measures you can avoid the loss of data up to some extent but it is not possible to completely eradicate the digital data loss. Sometimes users may delete or lose corrupt files from the hard disk due to various data loss scenarios like accidental deletion, formatting or re-formatting of drive or partition, file system corruption, OS crash, accidental deletion of partition, etc. Due to any of the above mentioned reasons files on the hard disk may become inaccessible. When a corrupt file is deleted from the Recycle Bin, or if the deleted file surpasses the Recycle Bin, the file can no longer be recovered without the help of a data recovery software.

It is possible to recover corrupt file by using advance corrupt file recovery software. This software restores corrupted Word document, Excel file, Outlook PST file, Access database file, photo file, audio and video files. The software retrieves corrupted files from Windows 7, Vista and Win XP Operating System. Download the demo version of the software to evaluate the chances of recovery.

Note: Remo Recover (Windows) software is used to restore corrupt files from hard drive. This software does not repair your corrupt files but only retrieves them as they are.

An SD Card is a specially designed flash memory card, which is small in size, but can provide high amount of data storage capacity. They are widely used in small hand held devices such as cameras and mobile phones. SD card data loss is a common occurrence, and there are definitive ways to get around this problem.

There are some precautions that you should take, to avoid data loss in memory cards,

I recommend that you make a backup copy of important data, since some or all data recorded on the card may get corrupted or erased by electrical noise, static electricity or card malfunctions.

Do not allow dirt, water or foreign objects to come into contact with the terminals on the back of the card. Do not touch the terminals with your hands or metal objects.

Please note that SD cards formatted or edited by using other manufacturers’ cameras, a computer or application programs, may not operate correctly in your camera.
We recommend that you use the SD cards that have been formatted in your camera.
The card supplied with your camera may be used without further formatting.

When a SD card is formatted, all the data present on the card is deleted. But there is nothing to worry, as they are not permanently erased from the card. Since they are just marked for deletion, you can undelete pictures from SD card using a data recovery software.

REMO Recover (Windows) Media Edition software lets you undelete images from SD card using the easy-to-use interface, and the variety of features that the software provides. The software also lets you preview the recovered files, before you actually save them.

Hard drives being the dynamic storage devices are extremely easy to use and handle. Data stored on a hard disk is not exactly safe, this is true indeed. Data on hard drives may be lost due to various causes like hard drive crash, virus, sabotage, accidental deletion, formatting / reformatting and many more. Unfortunately, there is no full proof remedy to prevent data loss.

If you have important information on your crashed hard disk that needs to be restored? Are you unsure of how to recover deleted / lost hard drive data? This article provides you with information you need to learn how to recover files from hard drive. Well, recovering your hard work will require figuring out the best data recovery tool. REMO Data Recovery Software family has easy to use applications that can recover files from unbootable hard drive. The software also supports retrieval of deleted or lost files from non-bootable hard drives and restore data efficiently.

Precautionary steps to be taken in case of a hard drive crash

Stop working on the disk

Do not run any repair utility for e.g. “chkdsk ”, as this further may cause permanent data loss

Do not try and save or reinstall any thing on the crashed hard drive

Remove the crashed hard drive from the machine and connect it to another healthy system as a secondary drive and run REMO Recover (Windows) Data Recovery Software

To retrieve data from crashed Windows hard disk follow these simple steps with REMO Recover (Windows) Data Recovery Software.

Step 1: Install REMO Recover (Windows) Data Retrieval Software and run the application by double clicking the icon on the desktop or run it from the programs list from the Start menu. This will launch the application main window as shown in Figure a.
