Recover files from USB Drive

Step-by-step guide to retrieve deleted file(s) from USB drive:
Step 1: Download and install Undelete Software. Run the application and select the drive to search deleted and click “Next” (See Figure a).
Caution: Note: Never install Undelete on the drive from which you want to recover data, also never save any data on the same drive from which you are recovering data.
Install the software to any other partition or computer, which is healthy system and has the best of hardware components, then attach the drive you want to recover as a slave to this machine and then proceed ahead recovering the data.

Step 2: When the ‘Next’ button is pressed the scan is commenced and the next wizard screen will display a list of all the found files and folders in a tree format under a Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Step 3: To recover the file, select the file/folder you wish to recover or simply select the root folder to select all the files and click Save. A window will appear asking to select to restore recovered data (See Figure c).

If you choose to save data to local drive and specify the file types you wish to ignore during , check if you want the data to be saved in compressed form and click OK. Now the program starts saving the data to of your choice.
After the saving is complete a message will popup intimating the same. All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX “. You can now access your recovered data as before.
Caution: Do not save the recovered file to the USB drive from where you are recovering data, for it may result in overwriting of data, and would result in permanent data loss.
