A new hard drive always requires formatting for storing data. By the process of formatting we divide the hard drive storage space into multiple tracks, sectors and clusters. Many-a-times we are forced to reformat our hard drives because of hard disk errors, start-up problems and invalid commands that prevent our performance. However the basic reason for reformatting a drive includes slow start, virus attack, system error, bad sector and many other problems.
During this formatting we sometime format the wrong drive or we forget to take backup of important files. We may accidentally formatting the whole drive instead of formatting a single drive, and thus result in data loss. If you have lost documents, files and vital information after reformatting your hard drive, don’t panic because there is a way to get them back. With Recovery software, it is possible to recover files from formatted drive or a reformatted partition (to any file system), corrupted, deleted or missing partition. You can also recover files from formatted / re-formatted partitions and restore lost or deleted files effectively. The software also enables you to retrieve files from laptop hard drives that have been formatted and retrieve complete data from the laptop drives.
CAUTION: Once you lost data due to format, please stop using the formatted hard drive and hurry up to get the data recovery software to do format recovery because if the formatted hard drive is overwritten, you will lose the chances to retrieve the data forever.
With these simple step-by-step guidelines and Data Recovery Software, you can trace and perform file recovery after format safely and effectively.
Step 1: Install the software and run the application by double clicking the File Recovery icon either from the desktop or from the programs list the Start menu. This will launch the application main window (see Figure a).

Step 3: Select a source drive and the processing mode to process the drive. The software provides two processing modes: Display default partitions and Search for lost partitions. By default the processing mode is set to ‘Display default partitions’. As you click ‘Next’ button, the application analyses the drive and lists all the found partitions in the partition table as shown in Figure ‘d’.

Step 4: Select a partition for processing and click Finish button. The application processes the partition and displays the found files and folders in a tree structure as shown in Figure ‘e’.

Step 5: After completes, you can preview the file before it could be recovered. To preview the file, right click on the file whose preview is to be seen and select . This will show the preview of the selected file as shown in Figure ‘f’

Note: Other than image files all the other files would be displayed in ASCII form
Step 6: After scanning process, the only task left in is to restore data to a safe destination location.
If you want to retrieve whole tree structure formed, click root folder to mark whole data and click on ‘Save All’ option on the tool bar or button from the tools menu. As soon as you click on ‘Save all’ button, a window to select is displayed as shown in Figure ‘g’.

Step 7: Select a logical drive in your local disk where you wish to save the data. Specify the file type you wish to ignore (file filter) while saving process and Click OK.
You can recover all of your data and restore it to original condition just as it was before the files were damaged…
